Colleyville Public Library Expansion Project -Week 14

Significant progress moved the Colleyville Public Library second floor expansion project closer to the target this week.  With the completion date drawing near, the construction areas continued to be energized with workers of many trades.  On the second floor, most of the work continued to be focused above the ceiling.  Fire sprinkler workers completed the fire sprinkler head reconfiguration work, and passed the fire marshal inspection.  Heating and air conditioning workers continued with duct work; and electricians placed new electrical light fixtures in a pattern amidst previously installed reused light fixtures. Also, workers finished installing drywall around the meeting room moveable wall track support enclosure.  Early in the week the moveable wall partitions were delivered. At the end of the week, the partitions were installed on the track and placed in the wall storage pocket.  The moveable wall consists of twelve partitions and is now operable.   On the exterior balcony, workers completed masonry work where a door was removed and relocated.  Also, painters applied a second coat of paint to the colored walls, and audiovisual conduit was installed in the walls.   On the first floor, electricians continued with wall rough in work, and plumbers started rough in work for the new coffee bar.   In the new stairwell area, workers completed sheetrock installation. The new stairwell area is now completely enclosed. Currently, work on the project is on target and is scheduled for completion the end of April 2011.
